Artist Egon Schiele feels ominous by reading the news: A tragic school knife attack occurred on October 8, 2026, in Leszczydół-Nowiny, Poland, where a 15-year-old former student attacked three employees at a primary school, resulting in the death of a 37-year-old female custodian. This incident followed another school attack in northern Poland the previous day, where a 19-year-old student wounded eight people. Polish police have increased patrols near all schools, and elementary schools in the Wyszków municipality were temporarily closed on October 9 due to fears of further violence.
